CasinoGrounds examined which states provide the greatest support for problems gambling or gambling addiction. After analysis, Nevada emerged as the best gambling state in America.
CasinoGrounds awarded a score of 10 to a variety of factors including popularity, presence of problem gambling and treatment facility availability.
The data indicates that Nevada offers the most support to those who are addicted to gambling due its gambling venues in Las Vegas. At 2.7%, the state has the country’s fifth-highest percentage of people suffering with a gambling problem, but it also provides the most treatment facilities of any state.
These meetings include anonymous gambling sessions for 123 people per week and support from other state agencies as well as state affiliates to the NCPG.
Oregon was the state that supported gambling addiction second best. Oregon is a popular gambling state with 2.6% problem gambling. The state spends $1.41 per person on problem gambling, which is the second highest.
Connecticut was third, with only 1.1% of problem gambling. There are both specific support agencies and state affiliations in Connecticut. The state also supports addiction by spending $0.90 per head.
Michigan and Massachusetts were awarded fourth and fifth, respectively. According to reports, 0.5% and 1.7% respectively of adult population suffer from gambling addictions.
Hawaii, Utah, Alaska and Alaska received the most support. It is explained because all three states have a ban on gambling. The lack of support facilities and spending for problem gambling treatment in Idaho and Arkansas landed them 49th and 48th respectively.
