Sportradar Integrity Services is a division of Sportradar that has expanded the Memorandum of Understanding, (MoU), with the Austrian Federal Police to include anti-doping.
This agreement was reached with the Bundeskriminalamt of the Ministry of the Interior. The collaboration began in 2015. It has enabled Sportradar Integrity Services to share information and analysis related to the preservation of sport integrity.
Sportradar will provide its anti-doping solutions, technologies and network under the extended MoU. This will give Sportradar the opportunity to access these services and share any information that might be useful in deterring or preventing violations of the Austrian Federal Anti-Doping Act.
Sportradar’s services help to support anti-doping organizations and sports bodies through the development of specific testing plans and detection and interception trafficking networks.
Sportradar has signed a new agreement with the Austrian Police Force to provide information and support for investigations. This includes assistance to athletes, coaches, doctors, third-party organizations, and anti-doping groups. It will offer anti-doping courses for the police force.
Andreas Holzer, Director of the Criminal Intelligence Service Austria, said: “For years, the Austrian Federal Criminal Police Office has played a pioneering role in integrity measures in sports.
“For this reason, the long-standing cooperation with Sportradar is now being extended to include cooperation in the fight against doping, in addition to match fixing.”
Dominic Mueser, Sportradar’s Global Head of Anti-Doping Services, added: “Through our use of technology and data-driven anti-doping, Sportradar’s Anti-Doping Services department has established itself as a credible and trusted operator in this space, making the extension of our partnership with the Austrian law enforcement authorities a natural next step in supporting them address doping in sport.
“Building on the existing strong relationship, we’re excited about the potential this partnership has to protect clean sport, and we look forward to continuing our work together.”
