Nelson Parker, the new Senior Vice President of Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment’s Strategic Development has been hired.
As noted by MGE, Parker has been appointed to “identify, assess and execute growth opportunities and strategic new venture projects for the company.”
MGE added that he “brings a wealth of experience leading complex multi-party transactions and hotel and casino development projects. His experience will prove invaluable as the brand continues to deepen its footprint.”
Parker was previously SVP Corporate Development at Penn National Gaming and SVP Hotel & Casino Development for Hard Rock International. He also served as VP Development at Foxwoods Resort Casino and Corporate Director of Development with Argosy Gaming.
Additionally, he was previously a managing director at Driftwood Capital (a private equity fund that focuses exclusively on hotel investments).

Anderson’s direct report will be Parker. He will play an integral role in the future capital and growth plans. In addition to collaborating across all functional areas, he will also be responsible for initiating growth opportunities and reviewing them for MGE.
MGE has many resorts worldwide, such as Mohegan Sun, Uncasville in Connecticut, Inspire, Incheon, South Korea and Niagara Casinos, Niagara, Canada.
