Softswiss – “Gamification, what the market wants right now is”
By Tim Poole
Softswiss is a supplier of sports betting and has just launched the Lootbox Bonus product. It aims at increasing the gamification level in its sportbook.
Simply put, the product gives sports gamblers extra bonus opportunities during sports betting.
According to the supplier, they are the first to provide the engagement tool. It works by players accumulating points and placing wagers on sporting events.
Players can choose to earn up to three bonus bets by selecting a loot container that will appear on their screen once they have won enough points.
This is a unique combination of lootboxes and sports betting, which has become incredibly popular in the worlds of esports as well as video gaming.
There are many issues with lootboxes. Many people believe they’re a form gambling and then argue that kids shouldn’t be allowed to spend money on randomised lootbox prizes.
However, in this instance, the players already gamble, so picking a lootbox to randomly select a prize is a completely different method of awarding free wagers. Traditional examples of free sports bets include Sky Bet Club and bet365.
Alexander Kamenetskyi is the Product Owner at Softswiss Sportsbook. He stated: “When we develop new bonuses, it’s important to pay attention both to the market trends as well as the needs of players and operators. Gamification is the current market demand and it’s a key goal for any sportsbook.
Lootbox Bonus adds great value to all the other features that we already have in our system. This bonus is a brand new type of bonus that we offer to the betting market. It gives us double joy in offering exclusive tools to our players and partners.”
